**COVID-19 UPDATE 11/11/2020**
We want to keep you as current as possible with what is happening at Cornerstone Villa.
During routine weekly staff testing, Cornerstone Villa has identified one staff person that tested positive for COVID.
The staff that tested positive is out of work self-quarantining.
We are taking every effort to prevent the spread of COVID 19 and to keep everyone safe and healthy. We will complete entire -facility testing to include staff and residents per MDH guidelines.
We have restricted all visitation at this time. We are communicating with the Minnesota Department of Health. We continue to monitor all staff and residents regularly for signs or symptoms of COVID 19. The testing will continue to take place at least every 7 days until there are no further positive results for at least 14 days.
In addition to this interval testing, any staff member who has any signs or symptoms of COVID 19 will be excluded from work and be tested. Any resident that displays any signs or symptoms will also be tested.
During testing we will send out a letter each time a test is completed on your loved one. If the results are negative, you will be contact by mail. If your loved one has a positive result, we will contact you by phone.
If we were to have a resident test positive at anytime, we will open a segregated COVID unit away from the rest of the residents. The would be designated staff that would care for those residents in this unit would not have physical contact with other residents or staff in the facility. Staff are equipped with specific training and Protective equipment to continue to provide safe and quality care for the residents in our community.
