**COVID-19 Update Letter**

Dear Cornerstone Villa families,
We want to keep you as current as possible with what is happening at Cornerstone Villa. We have recently reached out to family and wanted to follow up with a letter. During routine weekly staff testing, Cornerstone Villa had identified one staff person that tested positive for COVID. The staff that tested positive is out of work self-quarantining. Also, during previous testing we had 2 residents test positive and they are on a COVID unit where no other residents are on. This week we had 1 additional staff member test positive on 11/24/20 and all residents tested negative. The staff that work on the COVID Unit are isolated from the rest of the building. Staff are equipped with specific training and Protective equipment to continue to provide safe and quality care for the residents in our community.
We are taking every effort to prevent the spread of COVID 19 and to keep everyone safe and healthy. We will complete entire -facility testing 2 times a week as our county positivity rate is above 10%. to include staff and residents. Testing will be completed per MDH guidelines. We have restricted all visitation at this time. We are communicating with the Minnesota Department of Health. We continue to monitor all staff and residents regularly for signs or symptoms of COVID 19. The testing will continue to take place at least every 3-7 days until there are no further positive results for at least 14 days. In addition to this interval testing, any staff member who has any signs or symptoms of COVID 19 will be excluded from work and be tested. Any resident that displays any signs or symptoms will also be tested and placed on isolation precautions.
During testing we will post to our website if there are any additional positive residents or staff. If loved one’s results are negative, you will not receive a call, this will confirm their negative result. If your loved one has a positive result, we will contact you by phone.
